Dr. Mohamed Youssef is currently working for Component Solution Business Division, Sony North America where he is leading the R&D for Sony’s GNSS technologies. Dr. Youssef holds an interdisciplinary Ph.D. degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department and the Geomatics Engineering department, the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Before he joined Sony, Dr. Youssef was working for Samsung Semiconductor, CSR/SiRF, Rx Networks, and Shaw Communications. Dr. Youssef is also an active member of academia. He taught several graduate and undergraduate courses in the area of wireless communication and GNSS receiver design at the Royal Military College of Canada, Ontario, Canada (Adjunct Assistant Professor) and CALPOLY State University, CA, USA (Visiting Lecturer) and co-supervised several Ph.D. and Master degree students. Dr. Youssef is an inventor of several patents in the area of wireless location, computer vision, and deep learning.
